We shot more video than pictures this weekend, so what the heck, I figured I’d put together a video version of The Farm Report. Here it is.

You might try sharpening the scythe blade. The sharper the blade the more power you can put in the cut. This is important for all lawn, garden and farming cutting equipment.
We sharpen it. Chareva tells me there’s another blade that’s designed for thicker bushes, but for the briar jungle I’m happy to go gas-powered.

Have you heard of the DR Brush Mower? We purchased one in 1998, for our 10 acre farm and it has been the best thing, money well spent. We have the walk behind model. It chews up and spits out just about anything, just like the video shows. http://www.drpower.com/inquiry/field-brush-mowers?src=AW78838XE3363309&gclid=CLra1_D2w7kCFcU5Qgod1SUAzA
I’ve seen those. I’m debating whether or not I want to make the investment.
